Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact The Linen Duck immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that the issue can be evaluated and have the opportunity to make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
The Linen Duck cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Returns and Refunds Process
All refunds are at the sole discretion of The Linen Duck. Please see individual items below.
To start a return, contact hello@thelinenduck.com.au. If your return is accepted, you will received a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to The Linen Duck without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
You will be notified you once your return is received and inspected and you will be advised if the refund is approved or not. You will be refunded via original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund to your account. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval of your return, and the funds are not in your account, please contact hello@thelinenduck.com.au.
For purchase of Shop items:
The Linen Duck has a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
For Made to Measure items:
The Linen Duck is unable to offer refunds on Made to Measure products once they have been completed. Satisfaction is guaranteed via fittings throughout the process and one set of alterations following completion. Please do take advantage of this to ensure your satisfaction.
Change of Mind
Should you purchase a Made to Measure item and change your mind, I can offer a full or partial refund, depending on how far along in the process we are:
- If work hasn’t commenced by me, reach out by email and I can refund in full, less fees charged by credit card companies etc. If you have posted fabric and notions to me, I will return these at your expense.
- If it is after initial consultation, but before I have commenced pattern preparation or fabric cutting, you will be refunded your payment less $35 fee and processing fees. Any supplies you have provided will be returned at your expense.
- If work has commenced on construction of the piece, you will be refunded your payment less $35/hour spent on item to date (and processing fees), or 25% of total cost, whichever is greater. The Linen Duck will retain the constructed garment and work product but will return any unused fabric or notions to you, at your expense.
- If you wish to terminate the process but retain the garment in whatever state it is in, The Linen Duck will not provide a refund, but will return all fabric, offcuts and the work-in-progress product at your expense.
For Drafting a Pattern or Design Consultation items
These are services where the quoting process involves considerable input from The Linen Duck prior to work commencing. Therefore there will not be a refund offered for work completed or charges incurred prior to termination and an invoice will be sent for remaining outstanding charges at the point at which termination has been requested.
Satisfaction is guaranteed via fittings throughout the process and one set of alterations following completion. Please do take advantage of this to ensure your satisfaction.
For Alterations work
- Any concerns must be raised within 48 hours of receipt of completed item via text or email. A follow up phone call will be made by The Linen Duck as soon as possible.
- The Linen Duck is committed to providing quality service and must be given the opportunity to resolve any concerns.
